  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix chicken with cornstarch and 1 tbsp water. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned. Remove from the pan.
  • Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
  • Return chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

  • Adjust black pepper to taste for more or less spice.
  • Use a mix of mushrooms like shiitake or button for extra flavor.
