1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
½ tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix chicken with cornstarch and 1 tbsp water. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned. Remove from the pan.
Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
Return chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, salt, and sugar. Stir well.
Cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Adjust black pepper to taste for more or less spice.
Use a mix of mushrooms like shiitake or button for extra flavor.
