Ingredients

  • Cream cheese
  • Unsalted butter
  • Sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Egg
  • Vanilla extract
  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra soft cookies, slightly underbake and let them set on the baking sheet.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for a thicker cookie.
