  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups red and green Christmas M&M's

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until fully combined.
  6. Fold in Christmas M&M's, reserving some for topping.
  7. Scoop dough into 1.5-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Press a few extra M&M's on top of each ball.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and allow to cool on the baking sheet.
  • Substitute with mini chocolate chips or other candy if desired.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
