  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving about 1 tbsp bacon grease in the pan.
  • Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, then mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually.
  • Stir in crispy bacon and mix well.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.

  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
