  • For the Wontons:
    • ½ lb ground pork (or chicken)
    • ¼ cup finely chopped shrimp (optional)
    • 1 green onion, finely chopped
    • 1 tsp soy sauce
    • ½ tsp sesame oil
    • ½ tsp grated ginger
    • ½ tsp garlic, minced
    • 20 wonton wrappers
    • Water (for sealing)
  • For the Soup:
    • 4 cups chicken broth
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • ½ tsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp grated ginger
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 1 cup baby bok choy, chopped
    • 2 green onions, sliced
    • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Make the Wontons: In a bowl, mix ground pork, shrimp, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  • Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold diagonally, and press to seal.
  • Prepare the Soup: In a pot, bring chicken broth, water, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to a simmer.
  • Add wontons and cook for 3-4 minutes until they float.
  • Stir in bok choy and cook for another minute.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use store-bought wonton wrappers for convenience.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Add mushrooms or carrots for extra flavor.
