Ingredients
Scale
8 oz noodles (spaghetti, linguine, or rice noodles)
1 lb ground beef
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
Stir in garlic and onion, cooking until fragrant and softened.
Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
Mix in the cornstarch slurry and let the sauce thicken for 2-3 minutes.
Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, ensuring they’re well coated with the sauce.
Remove from heat, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra heat, add a dash of red pepper flakes or Sriracha.
Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Gluten-free noodles and tamari can be used for a gluten-free version.
