8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
Add white wine and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
