Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 oz egg noodles, cooked
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for 1 minute.
Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until well combined. Do not boil.
Serve over cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
Substitute egg noodles with mashed potatoes or rice for variety.
