  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until well combined. Do not boil.
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
